There is something special about growing your own food. Not because you have to, but because it gives you a new appreciation for what ends up on your plate.
Together with ByAuk, we invited our members to a green gathering at Vingtor. Our café was filled with parsley, seed potatoes, seed packets and conversations about growing food. Everyone was welcome to take home plants, seeds and seed potatoes, and perhaps start a small growing project on a balcony, in a garden or in a raised bed.

ByAuk is a non profit organisation working to strengthen local food resilience, community growing and greener neighbourhoods in Stavanger. Through initiatives such as TA EN POTET, Barnas Andelsgård, Ullandhaug Andelsgård and SiS Spiselig Takhage, they help more people discover the joy of growing their own food.
At Vingtor, we enjoy creating meeting places where people learn something new, share ideas and connect with each other. This day was about much more than plants. It was about community, knowledge and the satisfaction of growing something yourself.
A big thank you to ByAuk for sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm, and to everyone who stopped by. We hope the seeds sprout, the potatoes thrive and the joy of growing continues long after the visit.
Happy growing!
